About PAG-L

The Policy Action Group on Learning (PAG-L) is an independent international group. Its mission, in concert with like-minded international organisations, is to suggest practicable alternatives in advancing an agenda promoting success in Lifelong Learning.

Its principles and values are embodied in the overarching purpose of PAG-L: to explore the impact of globalisation on education and learning from a humanistic and holistic perspective.

But the mission of PAG-L goes well beyond statements of principles, values and perspectives. Suggesting strategies for global success in Lifelong Learning requires:

  1. a critical and focussed analysis and a thorough and challenging assessment of recent global progress in education

  2. a clear identification of deficits in current approaches and gaps in implementation

  3. constructive and coherent alternative paths to improved outcomes in all phases of learning including,  but not restricted to, the domain of formal education

  4. the provision, at no cost to international audiences, of practical tools that can assist societies in meeting the evolving challenges of learning and development.
